Within the scope of this Project, İzmir Bakırçay University, in alignment with the internationalization strategy plans adopted by the Turkish Council of Higher Education, aims to position itself as a globally recognized and preferred higher education institution. The Erasmus+ Programme is considered a strategic instrument to enhance the international visibility of the University, to develop sustainable academic and institutional partnerships with universities from different countries, and to strengthen the University’s capacity in education, research, and cultural exchange through such collaborations. Through the implementation of the Project, the foreign language competencies, professional skills, and intercultural communication capacities of both students and staff are enhanced, thereby contributing to the acquisition of qualifications in line with international standards at both the individual and institutional levels. Furthermore, the Project seeks to ensure that students, by means of their Erasmus+ experiences, become individuals who are acquainted with European culture, equipped with a global vision, innovative in their approaches, and capable of assuming future leadership roles. In conclusion, İzmir Bakırçay University regards the Erasmus+ Project not solely as a mobility opportunity, but as an integral component of its strategic vision to be established as a strong and competitive actor within the international higher education arena.
