Our main objective in implementing this project was to raise awareness of the Erasmus+ program at Istanbul Kültür University, achieve a sustainable increase in the number of participants, and make mobility opportunities more accessible to both students and staff. During the 2023 project period, a total of 115 participants took part in mobility activities, serving as a significant indicator of our progress towards this goal. Throughout the project, we aimed not only to strengthen relationships with our existing partner universities but also to diversify our academic partnerships by adding new institutions to our network. This approach is critical for enhancing our institution’s international visibility and laying a solid foundation for new collaborations that contribute to the quality of education and research. From the participants’ perspective, our priority was to ensure that the experiences gained through the Erasmus+ program contributed to their personal, academic, and professional development. We supported our students in developing intercultural competences, gaining diverse perspectives, and becoming more competitive on a global scale. In this context, 49% of participants reported progress in learning digital technologies, while 55% expressed increased willingness to use them more actively in their work or studies, demonstrating the project’s tangible contribution to digital competence development. Additionally, 66% of participants reported gaining awareness of environmental and sustainability issues, and 62% indicated that they had adopted more sustainable habits in their daily lives. These data show that our project objectives were effectively met at both personal and societal levels. The project was implemented in full compliance with the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), the Erasmus Program Guide, and the Erasmus Implementation Handbook. This compliance ensured the mobility activities were carried out to high standards while minimizing potential challenges. In conclusion, this project has strengthened our institution’s internationalization strategies, made student and staff mobility more inclusive, and established a solid foundation for future Erasmus+ projects. In the upcoming period, we aim to continue increasing participant numbers and sustaining international collaborations by diversifying our partner universities.
