İzmir University of Economics (IUE) has been implementing Erasmus mobility activities since 2005 and Erasmus program is the most preferred international exchange program among students and staff since its opportunities are easily accessible by the academic communities. IUE performed 3000+ mobilities since the launch of the program. The primary aim of implementing Erasmus project is to provide IUE students with the opportunity to gain international academic and professional experience in a different country, institution, and culture that is out of their comfort zone. Connecting with various universities around Europe and other parts of the world, IUE creates new destinations for students and staff that will contribute immensely to their career planning as well as professional and personal development. When the mobility numbers are compared according to the “planned” and “actual” mobilities, it is seen that IUE reached targeted numbers of participants indicated on the grant agreement.
