Through this project, we aim to encourage global perspectives, foster mutual understanding among cultures, and strengthen European identity within our institution. The E-Gastronomy Erasmus+ Consortium project represents a successful collaboration among three prestigious universities in Türkiye and the prominent public institution, the Izmir Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism. Our mission is to revolutionise the tourism sector by merging the rich field of gastronomy with the transformative power of digitalisation—one of the most crucial advancements of our time. Through this initiative, we are committed to cultivating a new generation of highly skilled professionals equipped with cutting-edge digital competencies that will elevate the tourism industry. By facilitating student and staff mobility across Europe, we aim to provide invaluable experiences that will empower our participants and drive innovation in the sector. We are determined to shape the future of tourism and gastronomy through education and collaboration. In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, digitalisation has become essential across all sectors. In particular, for the tourism industry, it has emerged as a vital priority, facilitating better time management and enabling businesses to reach a wider audience. Overall, the project enabled our consortium partners to build a more connected, competent, and globally engaged university community. It contributed directly to our strategic goals in internationalisation and institutional development, while also supporting broader European objectives such as equity, sustainability, and innovation in higher education.
