Objectives

One of the primary objectives of implementing the Erasmus+ KA131 Consortium Project was to enhance the research and innovation capacities in the special topic of “Cellular Therapies” among the consortium members. Another objective of the project is to internationalise the consortium partners by increasing participation in student and staff mobility, enhancing the quality of international experiences, and promoting European values of intercultural dialogue, inclusion, and cooperation. The Erasmus+ Cellular Therapies Consortium is made up of four higher education institutions from Türkiye. Cellular therapies represent an innovative medical approach used to treat diseases and repair damaged tissues. The primary goal of the consortium is to create opportunities for young people studying health and related fields to conduct research in various European countries as part of the Erasmus Internship Program. Innovative research in health significantly enhances individual well-being and boosts the national economy, contributing to global sustainability. Thus, our project plays a vital role in promoting health, economic growth, and environmental sustainability. For students, participating in mobility meant not only studying or doing internship abroad, but also acquiring essential 21st-century skills such as foreign language proficiency, intercultural communication, adaptability, and resilience. Many of our students returned with enhanced confidence, clearer academic and career goals, and broader perspectives. These outcomes align directly with Erasmus+ objectives in improving employability and fostering social cohesion through education and mobility. For staff, the programme offered the opportunity to engage with different educational systems, share good practices, and build strategic partnerships. These exchanges enriched the professional development of our staff and contributed to the modernization and internationalization of our institutional practices. Staff mobility also helped us align with European standards in education and administration, and played a key role in building capacity for future Erasmus+ projects.
