Within the scope of Istanbul Technical University's (ITU) internationalisation strategy, Erasmus+ projects have consistently held significant importance due to their dynamic and multidimensional structure. The International Relations Coordinatorship – International Exchange Office recognises the wide range of opportunities offered by the European Union through these programmes. Erasmus+ not only enables participants to gain international experience through mobility, but also fosters intercultural understanding, broadens perspectives, enhances both academic and personal skills, and contributes to the development of a sense of belonging to the European community. Moreover, it plays a vital role in creating a collaborative environment that promotes mutual respect and appreciation for cultural diversity. Through student and staff mobilities supported under Erasmus+ Key Action 1 (KA1) projects, ITU aims to maximise these benefits while reinforcing its position as a competitive and preferred institution in the international higher education landscape. The university continues to strengthen its international partnerships and strategic collaborations, thereby enhancing its visibility, attractiveness, and academic excellence on a global scale.
