Peer bullying can be described as intentionally damaging and hurting others, a single person in the same age range of children or adolescents, physically, verbally and/ or behaviorally. Organisations are the places where children and young people interact intensively. So, peer bullying is most common in organisations. Research shows that approximately half (150 million students) of 12-18 year-olds are exposed to peer violence in and around the school (UNICEF - 06 September 2018). It means approximately one out of every two learners was exposed to peer bullying. It is not different in our organisation and our partners' organisations. According to the survey results, we decided to study this subject to provide the best atmosphere for the activities. Although there had been long-term studies about peer bullying in the institutions of our collaboration, it was obvious that we couldn't meet the needs in this regard. For this reason, as 5 organisations in different places of Europe, we aimed to minimize the problems caused by peer bullying, to create a positive climate and a prosperous environment for activities in our organisations, and to contribute to the goal of raising quality citizens who respect the lives of others, which is one of our missions. To reach our objectives, we decided to create our project of "Stomp Out Bullying". Within the scope of our project, which was planned to start on 01/10/2023 and last for 12 months, there was only one youth exchange in Türkiye in August 2024 and for that mobility 5 young participants and 1 group leader from each partner organisation joined the mobility. Also there was 1 facilitator in the Turkish team. The youth exchange lasted 7 days ( 05-11.08.2024). The objectives of our project were; - to reduce peer bullying problems of our organisations by at least 10%, - to create a positive climate and prosperous activity environment in our organisations, - to raise citizens who respect the rights of others and make empathy a way and an understanding of life, - to integrate new methods and techniques in Europe into our institutions' curriculum and strategy, - to reduce early school dropout due to peer violence and to contribute to the goal of reducing early school drop-out of European Union, - to contribute to the development of our instructors on their way to becoming 21st century teachers and to increase European citizenship awareness, - to improve the language skills of our staff and give them the opportunity to use English in real life.
