Objectives

By implementing our project, we aimed to raise awareness of global issues that threaten young people, such as violent extremism and radicalization, and to enhance their capacity to defend European values. We sought to address young people's vulnerabilities in these areas, empower them, and contribute to their role as positive advocates for societal change. The two general objectives of our project were: To raise awareness among young people about violent extremism and radicalization to prevent the emergence of a Europe where such acts are normalized. To develop the advocacy skills of young people to protect European values and ensure these values are strongly passed on to future generations. To achieve these general objectives, we identified the following targets: Encourage active participation among young people to empower them to become advocates of positive change in their communities and across Europe. Increase awareness among young people about acts of extremism and radicalization occurring in European Union countries. Motivate young people to take concrete steps to defend fundamental European values for the present and future of Europe. Highlight the importance of the ERASMUS+ program in promoting young people's personal development and active participation. Equip young people with new skills to combat extremism and radicalization in Europe. Foster intercultural learning among participants to promote mutual understanding and tolerance. Enable young people to better understand topics such as Islamophobia, anti-Semitism, xenophobia, racism, and hate speech. Provide young people with a concrete perspective on European values such as human rights, freedom of expression, and gender equality. In line with these targets, we aimed to enhance not only the young people's ability to protect themselves but also their capacity to advocate for those around them. Our project has contributed to the personal development of young people, their adoption of European values, and their ability to take concrete steps to protect these values.
