Objectives

"Different Words, Common Emotions" project aims to reduce existing prejudices among young people towards different cultures, enhance their empathy skills, and increase their ability to evaluate events and phenomena more accurately. Our project fosters intercultural learning and communication, using communication as a tool to encourage respect for diverse cultures. Individuals who effectively utilize communication can transform both their own experiences and their interaction with the world. As Neale Donald Walsch states, effective communication amplifies an individual's impact on the world. Interpersonal relationships are social connections with others and can be either short-term or long-term. In daily life, we form various interpersonal relationships with family, friends, and other significant individuals. Interpersonal communication involves the process where one person sends and receives messages, knowingly or unknowingly, to or from others. Effective communication is built on self-awareness, recognizing one's values and attitudes, and fostering self-confidence. Elements such as gestures, facial expressions, and body language significantly impact interpersonal communication. In this regard, active listening, providing feedback, maintaining a positive approach, and using "I-messages" are essential components of effective communication. Five Core Objectives of the Project: Learning: Enabling young people to acquire new knowledge by interacting with different cultures and strengthening their learning processes through experiences. Building Relationships: Enhancing intercultural communication skills and fostering strong social connections with people from other cultures. Influencing: Supporting young people to better express themselves and their ideas, creating a positive impact on others. Having Fun: Encouraging participation in non-formal learning activities that make the learning process more enjoyable and motivating. Helping: Developing skills in contributing to society, supporting each other, and fostering mutual assistance. Project Goals: Promote intercultural learning processes and strengthen intercultural communication among young people from EU and partner countries through communication. Help participants better understand the world we live in and societal norms, aiding them in conducting successful communication processes. Enhance young people's awareness of the Erasmus+ program and support their international mobility. Encourage young people to utilize non-formal learning methods and communication tools to develop their skills. Our project aims to help young people interact with different cultures, broaden their cultural understanding, and contribute more effectively to society. By achieving these objectives, participants will not only grow personally but also foster greater cultural respect and social cohesion.
