To enhance cultural interaction and exchange. To enable participants to experience different cultural elements and compare them with their own cultures. To support cultural transmission through events such as culture nights, Turkish music concerts, and tastings of local delicacies. To help participants understand the necessity of preserving cultural heritage by exploring the cultural fabric of Istanbul on-site. To discuss what can be done to preserve historical buildings and traditions. To encourage participants to discover the equivalents of the cultural elements they experience in Istanbul in their own countries. To emphasize that protecting cultural heritage is an international responsibility. One of the main goals throughout the project activities has been to ensure that participants gain knowledge about the historical buildings visited. Participants were not only informed about the historical and artistic features of these structures, but were also encouraged to reflect on how these buildings relate to their own cultural backgrounds. This approach enabled young people from diverse cultural backgrounds to develop new insights about their own identities through these structures. Another key objective frequently emphasized during the activities was for participants to identify cultural similarities and differences, and to engage in collective discussions based on these observations. Participants gained a deeper understanding of cultural interaction processes by reflecting on similar elements they observed in both Turkish culture and their own cultural experiences. This, in turn, enhanced their ability to evaluate both their own and other cultures with a more inclusive perspective. A sense of collective action and teamwork was at the heart of all project activities. The collaborative work carried out through intercultural cooperation strengthened mutual understanding among young people and contributed to breaking cultural prejudices. Group-based activities transformed individual learning into a collective experience, providing participants with the opportunity to develop both communication and intercultural interaction skills. The transfer of the knowledge and experiences gained during the project into daily life was also encouraged. Participants became more sensitive to the protection of cultural heritage and internalized the knowledge they acquired in a way that could be applied within their social circles and individual practices. These gains contributed to their understanding that cultural heritage is not only a value of the past but also an area of active responsibility for contemporary societies. In conclusion, the project significantly strengthened young participants’ awareness of cultural heritage, supported intercultural dialogue and understanding, and contributed greatly to the development of a sense of social responsibility.
