Objectives

Due to factors such as climate change caused by global warming, biodiversity loss, the global food crisis and the reduction of agricultural land, agriculture has become more important today as the value of soil, water and the environment is better understood. From the point of view of the EU countries and Turkey, the fact that young people are leaving the countryside and agriculture in the hope of a better life has led to a decline in interest in agriculture year after year, to the education of people who have not touched the soil and do not recognise nature, and to generations that consume rather than produce. The EU's youth strategy aims to improve education and employment opportunities for young people, raise awareness of active citizenship, social inclusion and solidarity among young people, and promote healthy lifestyles as an 'early investment in human capital'. The EU Strategic Plan for 2021-2027 includes the basic principles of the Erasmus programme: inclusion, environmental sustainability, active participation in Erasmus organisations. In line with these principles, our aim was to make young people more aware of agriculture and agricultural issues through cooperation and synergy under the umbrella of the Erasmus programme, to bring young people who have moved away from agriculture and rural areas closer to agriculture sociologically, to give our young people an awareness of agriculture, to guarantee the future of agriculture by involving young people, to increase employment in agriculture and to contribute to raising a productive generation. From 5 countries with different European, cultural and socio-economic structures; TURKEY, LITHUANIA, ROMANIA, POLAND, ITALY, which are competent organisations in Erasmus youth programmes, total of 20 young people, 5 youth leaders are involved in our youth exchange project; In Sarıcakaya district, which is considered as the Mediterranean Sea of Turkey/Eskişehir province and has a high potential where many plants grow due to Mediterranean climate characteristics, with workshops in non-formal environments (Seed World Workshop, Spike to Wheat, Wheat to Bread Workshop, Tomato Seed to Harvest Workshop, Olive to Olive Oil Workshop, Agri-Food Workshop, Smart Agriculture Workshop, Art Workshop) with a process-oriented holistic approach, comprehensive enriched activities, training by experts, instead of a consuming youth in today's world, touching and producing the soil, understanding the importance of agriculture and agricultural areas in the Europe of the future with cooperation and synergy, To increase the number of entrepreneurial, productive and aware young actors who think about their future and produce feasible solutions, to reunite young people who have left the countryside with the land by giving them a rational environmental awareness and ecological vision, to ensure internationalisation and Europeanisation, to transfer the great linguistic diversity and intercultural awareness of the EU to our young people and institutions, to promote social inclusion, to contribute to intercultural dialogue in the European dimension, to encourage personal development and responsible consumption. In line with the objectives of the Erasmus Youth programmes to increase the opportunities for learning mobility of young people, those active in youth work or youth organisations and youth leaders, and to strengthen the links between the youth field and the labour market, young people from European, cultural and socio-economic backgrounds came together. In line with the objective of raising the level of basic skills and competences of young people, including young people with fewer opportunities, to ensure their participation in the European labour market, entrepreneurs who understand the importance of agriculture and rural areas in the Europe of the future, think about their future with a rational environmental awareness and ecology vision, and produce feasible solutions, In line with the objective of increasing the number of well-equipped, productive and aware young actors, it has been decided to contribute to the labour market and employment, based on European cooperation and the sociological approach of young people to agriculture and the labour market and employment, through touching the ground in agricultural areas, through touching the ground, through doing and experiencing, through 7 workshops. In line with the objective of promoting active citizenship, intercultural dialogue, social inclusion and solidarity, in order to support social inclusion, young people without financial means and young people with hearing impairment were also involved, in order to connect young people who have moved away from the countryside with the land, to ensure Europeanisation and to transfer the EU's wide linguistic diversity and intercultural awareness to our young people and institutions, in order to support social inclusion, and all objectives were achieved at the end of the project.
