Our project, "A Tale of Future", is based on an understanding that accepts the increasing importance of coding and digital literacy in today's world, especially for young people. In the 21st century, often referred to as the "Technology and Information Age", coding skills have become as fundamental as traditional literacy skills and have been accepted as the new alphabet of our time. The motivation for the project stems from the need to equip the young generation with the skills necessary to not only consume digital products but also to create and innovate in the digital field. One of the main motivations behind this project is to address the lack of digital skills, especially among young people in Turkey and other European countries. As technology continues to develop, young people need to understand and contribute to the digital economy. However, many young people are currently only passive consumers of technology and lack the knowledge and skills required to produce digital content, software or applications. Therefore, the project aims to change this paradigm by providing young participants with coding and software development skills at an early age. In this way, the foundations of a generation that is not only competent in using digital tools but also able to contribute to the development of new technologies are intended to be laid. This is particularly important in the context of Industry 4.0, where digital skills are increasingly becoming a prerequisite for a wide range of careers and industries. The project is also motivated by the desire to foster a deeper understanding of technology among young people, so that they can become creators and innovators in the digital world, not just users. This includes teaching young people the basics of coding languages such as C, PHP, JavaScript, which are necessary for creating a wide range of applications, from simple calculators to complex web platforms. Ultimately, the “A Tale of Future” project is motivated by the need to empower young people with the digital skills needed to succeed in the modern world. By focusing on coding and software development, the project aims to transform participants from passive consumers of technology into active contributors to the digital economy. In doing so, it aims to prepare them well for future challenges and opportunities. The project has several key objectives, which aim to equip young people with basic digital skills, thereby improving their ability to make a meaningful contribution to the digital economy and prepare them for the future. The main objectives of the project are as follows: 1. Developing Coding and Software Skills: To equip young participants with basic coding and software development skills that will enable them to create digital content and applications. 2. Developing Cognitive Thinking: To encourage problem-solving abilities and cognitive thinking through algorithm and programming training. 3. Promoting Digital Literacy: To increase digital and code literacy awareness in order to enable participants to understand and create technology. 4. Promoting Creativity and Innovation: To encourage creativity by guiding participants to develop original projects such as games, animations and websites. 5. Developing a Culture of Collaboration and Exchange: To encourage international cooperation and teamwork among participants from different countries. 6. Providing Preparation for Industry 4.0: To equip participants with the skills they need to succeed in the evolving digital economy and modern workforce. 7. Supporting Disadvantaged Youth: Including and empowering young people from disadvantaged backgrounds to increase their access to digital education and employability.
