The main goal of this project has been to raise awareness about organ donation and promote public consciousness at both local and international levels. During the project lifetime we aimed to address the low rates of organ donation, particularly in countries where awareness is limited or where misconceptions exist. By focusing on educating the public, especially young people, we sought to provide accurate information about organ donation and transplantation, while dispelling common myths and misunderstandings. Our objectives included collaborating with international partner organizations from countries with low organ donation rates to raise awareness in those regions. Additionally, we worked to spread accurate information about organ transplantation in our local communities, dispelling the common myths surrounding the subject. Another key objective was to build a stronger connection between individuals waiting for organ donations and the public, thereby encouraging more people to consider becoming organ donors. The project also aimed to engage young people by enabling them to use digital tools to create impactful content that would help spread awareness about organ donation. We wanted to encourage youth to take active roles in volunteering, empowering them to contribute to a cause that has a significant societal impact such as organ donation. Furthermore, the project sought to inspire similar organizations and groups that focus on active citizenship and social responsibility, serving as an example for others. Through their involvement, we hoped to increase participants’ awareness of EU citizenship while enhancing their language proficiency and soft skills, including social, communication, and personal skills.
