It was one of the biggest problem for disabled people’s families’ that; to talk them about sexual development in schildhood and adolescence. There were many points that can give families some discomfort such as traditions, culture, law, economy, religion and etc. In another hand, violation and abuse cases were increased both in Turkey and Europe according to news as sad and unwanted cases for the disabled people such as mental deficiency or other disabilities. So there was a need about the education part for the disabled people for the sexual educaiton to be protected and to be able to have the sufficient support and information. . Due to the lack of judgment and evaluation, the mentally disabled people might silently accept an offer for sexual intercourse or a sexual intimacy without knowing that it can be abuse or sexually exploited. So it is duty for all nations to protect and educate disabled citizents properly. In this training, youth workers presented the cases a nd situation in their countires , discussed the methods and worked on new education tools for the disbled people and worked on various approaches for individuals with intellectual disabilities to discuss sexuality, develop attitudes and behaviors that help them to be more comfortable and confident, and learn good practices in terms of increasing their individual capacities. Last but not least, the main goal of the project was to increase the competence of youth workers in the field of sexuality education of the disabled people. Specific objectives: 1-To teach the participants the stages of sexual development and the basic points of positive sexual identity development in people with disabilities (such as intellectual disability, Down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, multi-disabled). 2-To teach the social skills related to sexual identity to the participants. 3-To give the participants the ability to prepare an individual sexual education program for people with mental retardation. 4-To teach the participants new methods and techniques in sexual education. (drama, role playing, use of technology)
