Studies conducted in Turkey have determined that 98% of adults use mobile phones, while 77% use smartphones. One of the features that makes mobile phones effective is internet access. Approximately 72% of people in Turkey are accompanied by 59.3 million internet users. 56.3 million of these users access the internet from their smartphones (We Are Social, 2019). According to the 2019 Household Information Technology (IT) Usage Survey conducted by the Turkish Statistical Institute, internet use was found to be 75.3% among individuals aged 16-74. The internet usage rate has increased compared to previous years (TÜİK, 2019). In a study conducted with 537 university students in Turkey, the nomophobia scale developed by Yildirim and Correra (2015) was translated into Turkish and used, measuring the prevalence of nomophobia among university students for the first time in Turkey. Research conducted in this context also revealed: Some of the negative effects of nomophobia on people include: -Panic attacks -Loss of self-confidence -Depression -Feelings of discomfort -Anxiety (Avicenna Editorial Board, 2017) -Shortness of breath -Feelings of pessimism. Due to the reasons for nomophobia mentioned above, we aimed to launch this project and raise awareness about nomophobia. We undertook this project and achieved the following goals: -Raising awareness about nomophobia -Reducing phone addiction and fostering socialization and personal development -Supporting our participants' personal development -Raising awareness among more people through the use of mass media -Supporting participants' self-confidence -Improving participants' competencies through non-formal learning methods -Teaching participants digital teaching methods -Proper use of technology -Developing communication skills (Mother Tongue and Foreign Language) In short, we aimed to contribute to the reduction of nomophobia by informing our participants, and through them, young people, about the need to use the mobile world, which makes our lives easier, in a controlled and conscious manner. As a result of the project, we achieved the targeted results. Our project fully aligns with the objectives of the Erasmus+ program and the Youth Worker Mobility program, and the project was implemented with the same objectives. Our project objectives were as follows, and we achieved these goals accordingly. - Youth workers have been enhanced in their professional development and ability to conduct quality work in the youth field. - Non-formal learning methods have enabled participants to achieve personal and professional development, as well as YouthPass key competencies. - Digital training methods were used in the events, enabling participants to develop their digital skills using digital tools and methods. - The project included disadvantaged participants, and the inclusion of disadvantaged individuals has enabled them to become more active, socialize, develop themselves, and overcome their disadvantages through inclusion in the activities. - The bringing together of different cultures has increased intercultural interaction, fostered intercultural friendships, and fostered a communication network.
