Background of Our Project and Our Goals Bees are fascinating and indispensable creatures of our ecosystem. There are more than 20,000 species of bees worldwide, and their appearance, behavior and habitat preferences vary greatly. There are more than 20,000 known species of bees, and new species are still being discovered. Worker bees usually live for about six weeks during the active season, while the queen bee can live for up to several years. Bees have a unique anatomy suited to their role in the ecosystem, including compound eyes, antennae, and specialized body parts for collecting pollen. Bee populations are declining at an alarming rate due to various environmental factors. Loss of bee species diversity poses a significant threat to ecosystems and biodiversity. Bee populations provide vital clues about the health of a particular area. Factors that affect bee populations will also affect other insect species and the wider ecosystem in general. This means that by examining bee populations we can also have a good understanding of the environmental health of the region. Additionally, bee honey, pollen and wax can be examined and analyzed: thus revealing information such as pollution levels and other critical information that tells us more about the health of the ecosystem in which they live. Unfortunately, the biggest threat to bees is human activities. Global bee populations have been declining in recent years due to intensive agricultural practices, habitat loss, global warming and changing weather conditions, pollution and overuse of pesticides. While it is undeniable that more needs to be done internationally to protect native bee populations, there are things we as individuals can do to help. Therefore, the main aim of our project was to contribute to raising awareness about the contribution and importance of bees to biodiversity. By implementing our project, we have contributed to increasing people's awareness and sensitivity about the environment. Goals We Achieved with Our Project 1-Our youth workers, our target audience and the local people were provided with new information about the place and importance of bees in the ecosystem. 2-Our youth workers, our target audience and the local people were helped to learn about the positive effects of bees on human and living health. 3- It supported our youth workers, our target audience and local people to raise awareness about the impact of climate change on bees and eco diversity. 4-Our youth workers, our target audience and the local people were made to understand the importance of fighting together against global problems. 5- Our youth workers, our target audience and the local people were helped to gain awareness about developing the habit of acting responsibly towards global problems individually and socially. 6-Our youth workers, our target audience and the local people were provided with new information about Erasmus+ and Youthpass Certificate. 7- Our youth workers were helped to develop their skills in communicating in English, working in teams, learning through social dialogue and being tolerant of different ideas. 8-Our youth workers were supported to establish cultural interaction with individuals who have different cultural beliefs, traditions and customs, and they were enabled to move away from cultural prejudices. 9- Our target audience and local people were supported to interact with individuals from new cultures by communicating with our youth workers, and they were made aware of avoiding discriminatory attitudes. 10-Our youth workers, our target audience and the local people were made aware of the importance of environmental sustainability.
