Objectives

The main objective of this project is to increase the knowledge, skills, and competencies of youth workers in teaching democratic values at an international level. This project aims to demonstrate to youth workers the activities and events that can help young people make democracy a way of life. Young people and youth workers play a crucial role in the global adoption of democracy. The integration of our youth, who will be hosting the new world change, with democracy will contribute to the new world order. The scale of commitment to democratic values, administered with all partners before the project, revealed that 600 of our youth workers who responded to the scale had a low level of attitude. Our project aimed to increase this low level. Other objectives of the project can be listed as follows: 1. To ensure that young people embrace democracy, human rights, and freedoms, help them make them a way of life, and correctly convey this philosophy of life to them. 2. To stimulate their interest in social issues. 3. To support them in playing an active role at local, national, and international levels. 4. To strengthen respect for different national, religious, and ethnic identities. 5. To ensure participation in decision-making mechanisms. 6. To develop the skills of acting within social groups, complying with group rules, communicating, collaborating, and expressing themselves. 7. To increase both civic and political participation under the main area of "Participation." 8. To develop skills that will help young people seek their rights in the digital world. 9. To encourage young people to participate in democratic life through civic, economic, social, cultural, and political participation, while ensuring that all young people have the resources necessary to participate in society. 10. To contribute to the design of workshops by increasing the knowledge and skills of young people to support them in integrating democratic values into social life. 11. To share good practices regarding youth participation, foster dialogue with young people, and To ensure the development of national policies, the development of mechanisms to facilitate youth participation, and the promotion of the participation of underrepresented young people in politics, youth organizations, and civil society organizations. Our project was prepared in accordance with the European Union Youth Strategy 2019-2027 Commission's communication on "Including, Engaging and Empowering Young People." Under the main area of "Participation," the EU Youth Strategy aims to ensure the meaningful civic, economic, social, cultural, and political participation of young people. The strategy encourages youth participation in democratic life, supports social and civic participation, and aims to ensure that all young people have the resources necessary to participate in society. To achieve these goals, youth workers need to understand democratic values and develop ideas on how to effectively implement them. Generally, youth participation activities revolve around the active participation of young people. At the core of these activities, youth workers need to be aware of activities that foster democratic values. Youth workers, who play an effective role in increasing participation activities, have facilitated the achievement of these goals. In our project, which follows the guidelines of the Inclusion and Diversity Strategy in the youth field, we developed the intercultural and social skills of young people and youth workers, as well as their competencies in managing and working with all forms of diversity. Our project's structure is planned to be inclusive, harmonious, green, and digital. The project is linked to the following specific objectives outlined in the youth strategy document: • To promote non-formal and informal learning mobility and active participation among young people, as well as cooperation, quality, inclusiveness, creativity, and innovation at the level of institutions and policies in the field. • Multilingualism is a cornerstone of the European project and a powerful symbol of the EU's desire to unite in diversity. The EU wants every citizen to have the opportunity to acquire at least two foreign languages from an early age, and this project aims to ensure this. • To coordinate the implementation of Youthpass, a tool that supports the validation of non-formal and informal learning outcomes in youth mobility and youth work activities. • To foster greater understanding and sensitivity to social, linguistic, and cultural diversity. Enhancing the ability to meet the needs of disadvantaged people • Promoting active citizenship, a sense of initiative among young people, and youth entrepreneurship, including social entrepreneurship: The priority is to promote active citizenship among young people, particularly through volunteering and solidarity activities, thereby strengthening their sense of initiative, particularly in the social sphere.
