Our primary aim in implementing this project was to promote the use of art therapy as a powerful tool for personal and social development. We sought to empower youth workers and educators with the skills and knowledge necessary to utilize art therapy techniques effectively in their communities. We aimed to equip participants with practical art therapy skills and methodologies to enhance their work with youth, especially those with intellectual disabilities. Promoting inclusivity and social integration was a key focus, creating a safe and creative environment where every participant could express themselves freely through art. Strengthening the capacity of partner organizations to deliver impactful art therapy programs and activities was another important objective. We also aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of art therapy for individuals with intellectual disabilities and promote its adoption in educational and therapeutic settings. Building a robust network of art therapy practitioners and organizations across Europe was essential for fostering collaboration and the sharing of best practices. Finally, we aimed to ensure the sustainability of the project's impact by creating ongoing communication channels and support networks among participants and partner organizations.
