Our project aimed to increase health rights and cancer awareness among adolescents and young adults, and to improve the social participation levels of individuals with a history of cancer and to increase their awareness. The fact that individuals with a history of cancer remain isolated from social life during childhood and adolescence during the disease process leads to insufficient development of socialization skills. Therefore, the project aimed to increase the socialization skills of these individuals and to ensure that they are more included in society. Based on the fact that all young people in the society are candidates for cancer, the project raised awareness among young people about the types of cancer, its symptoms and the importance of early diagnosis. Since early diagnosis has positive effects on the cancer treatment process, raising awareness among young people on this issue is considered a protective measure in terms of public health. In addition, the main objectives of the project were to ensure that individuals with a history of cancer learn the advantages they have within the framework of the right to health, know how to benefit from these rights and have a say in the changes they need. Young people were given the opportunity to present their views on health rights and cancer awareness to policy makers in a report. In this way, young people were included in decision-making processes and had the opportunity to influence health policies.
