The main objective was to enhance the professional competences of adult educators to better support single mothers through inclusive, digital, and psychological (cognitive) methods. We aimed to equip educators with innovative tools such as gamification, multi-sensory learning, and emotional awareness techniques. Additionally, we intended to foster transnational collaboration among partners and create educational content tailored to the unique challenges single mothers face. The project also sought to develop a sense of social responsibility among institutions by encouraging active participation in democratic life, inclusion, and common values. Key outputs such as a multilingual awareness guide, brochure, and a project website were designed to ensure knowledge transfer and long-term impact. Ultimately, the project aspired to build a supportive educational ecosystem that connects adult educators with vulnerable learners, promotes empowerment, and strengthens lifelong learning in line with EU priorities.
The project was initiated to address the socio-cultural and psychological exclusion of single mothers, one of the most vulnerable and overlooked groups in adult education. Needs analyses across the four partner countries revealed common barriers: limited access to digital tools, social stigma, psychological isolation, and exclusion from lifelong learning. Educators themselves lacked the training and interdisciplinary tools to support this group. The Akyurt District Directorate of National Education, based in Ankara, identified a gap in local policy and professional development addressing single mothers’ needs. Following earlier small-scale cooperation among the partners, the project was launched to bridge this gap. By empowering adult educators with inclusive, cognitive, and technological methods, the project aimed to strengthen support systems for single mothers. The initiative directly addressed Erasmus+ priorities: inclusion, digital transformation, and high-quality adult education, while building a replicable model that connects educators to disadvantaged learners across Europe.
