The project aims to develop the knowledge, skills and experiences of Adult Educators who can support the process of overcoming possible psychological problems in order to prevent post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) seen in individuals who have experienced or witnessed a series of events or conditions such as natural disasters (climate change, earthquakes), epidemics, wars, serious accidents, intimate partner violence and bullying. In order for adults to maintain their psychological resilience, it is important to increase their awareness of natural events such as disasters, epidemics, etc. that they may encounter. In this context, since the presence of adults who have experienced trauma in the educational environment can help them cope with psychological problems such as stress, anxiety and depression, the most basic quality desired to be gained with this project is to increase the capacity of adult education institutions to ensure the adaptation of all individuals who have experienced or are likely to experience trauma to social life.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can be seen in people who have experienced or witnessed a series of events or conditions such as natural disasters, epidemics, wars, serious accidents, acts of terrorism, sexual assault, historical trauma, intimate partner violence and bullying. The project aims to develop the knowledge, skills and experience of adult education personnel who can support adults in the process of preventing trauma in adults and overcoming possible psychological problems. We addressed Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder in 3 different dimensions; *In line with the experiences of our institution as the coordinator, the experiences gained as a result of the studies and activities carried out with adults who experienced trauma after natural disasters were shared with the project partners. *The Spanish partner of our project, Asociacio Esplai Social, shared their experiences and good practices as a result of the studies carried out with adults experiencing Eco Anxiety. *The Polish partner, UKEN, shared their knowledge and experience regarding the activities that adult educators can carry out in dealing with post-war trauma. Thus, adult educators gained experience in dealing with different dimensions of trauma.
