Objectives

Our main objective in implementing the project was to enhance the knowledge, skills, and competences of our students and teachers in the field of Arduino technologies within vocational and technical education. In this context, we aimed to ensure the effective use of Arduino in vocational training, develop practice-based teaching materials, and adapt our school curricula to meet the current needs of the industry. Furthermore, by collaborating with vocational education institutions from different European countries, we aimed to share good practices, prepare joint training modules, and make these modules available for use by project partners. In addition, our objectives included improving students’ project-based learning abilities, strengthening their digital skills, enhancing their foreign language communication competences, and increasing their employability after graduation.

Background

We applied for this project to improve the knowledge and skills of our students and teachers in Arduino applications within vocational and technical education. The needs analysis carried out before the application revealed that there was a lack of suitable and simple training kits for Arduino education in our schools, and that the existing kits were too complex and not suitable for beginners. In addition, the curricula were found to be outdated, lacking practice-oriented resources, and there was an increasing demand for qualified workforce in this field in the industry. Through this project, we aimed to enable our students and teachers to effectively learn Arduino technologies and to adapt new teaching methods and good practices from vocational education institutions in different European countries to our own schools. At the same time, we aimed to strengthen digital skills, vocational competences, and cooperation with industry through international collaboration.
