The main objective of the project is to provide primary and lower secondary school students aged 9–14 with comprehensive knowledge, skills, and understanding about sustainable agricultural systems, biodiversity, and “farm to fork” processes. The project aimed to reconnect the new generation—growing distant from nature and production processes—with the soil and to raise them as the “green entrepreneurs” of the future. Within this scope, it is planned to achieve the following concrete objectives: Developing the green entrepreneurship and STEM skills necessary for students to produce innovative solutions to local and national environmental problems. Establishing an e-learning platform and Open Educational Resources (OER) accessible to teachers and students in order to complete the much-needed digital curriculum on sustainable agriculture and entrepreneurship. Developing innovative materials such as animated videos, interactive applications, and educational games by using design thinking and gamification methodologies. Ensuring that students, equipped with the competencies required for sustainable development, seize opportunities to create social and economic value.
This project has emerged from the necessity of ensuring food security for the growing world population under the threat of the climate crisis and environmental degradation. Transitioning to sustainable agriculture models by 2050 is of vital importance. The main reason for our application is to reconnect children aged 9–14—who, together with urbanization, have become detached from nature and production processes—with the soil again and to raise them as “Green Agripreneurs of the Future.” In line with the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork strategies, the project aims to address the following critical needs: 1) To equip students with awareness of sustainable agriculture, biodiversity, and climate, 2) To develop green entrepreneurship skills by introducing agriculture not only as a rural activity but as a career field involving innovation and technology, 3) To increase digital competencies by integrating STEM methodology into agriculture education, 4) To provide accessible and high-quality digital e-learning materials that are much needed for educators and students. The project aims to enable the new generation to produce innovative solutions to agricultural problems and to discover their potential to create economic value.
