With this exchange project, we wanted to encourage young people from ages 13 to 16 to engage in intercultural “lively” dialogue by using films from diverse countries that deal with current topics in an appealing way. The young participants reflected on film in different ways.. We also wanted to create awareness about the European Identity and to reflect what is to be an European! We wanted to give young people the chance to embrace their talents and develop them in the context of the filmfestival and together with their peers, so that they can improve socially and emotionally. We also wanted to promote media and image literacy, and stimulate digital competences. We focussed on sustainability and bringing it to young people’s attention, and make them undertake action. And finally we wanted to create awareness about what they have learned throughout the project.
