From the perspective of youth work practice, the objectives of our "Pathways to Equality: Young Minds for Women's Rights" youth exchange project were: - To increase awareness among young people about women's rights, gender inequality, and the problems and needs faced by women in different societies. Through educational activities, discussions, and experiential learning, participants developed a deeper understanding of these issues and their significance. -To empower young people to become active agents of change in promoting women's rights and gender equality. Through capacity-building workshops, skill development activities, and the sharing of best practices, participants acquired the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to address these issues effectively. - To foster intercultural dialogue, understanding, and cooperation among young people from different countries. Through the exchange of experiences, perspectives, and solutions, participants developed cross-cultural competences, empathy, and a broader global outlook. - To encourage active youth participation in decision-making processes related to women's rights and gender equality. Participants were encouraged to engage in advocacy, awareness-raising initiatives, and community-based projects that address the identified problems and needs. -To establish and strengthen networks, partnerships, and collaborations among youth organizations working in the field of women's rights. This fostered mutual support, knowledge sharing, and collective action towards achieving gender equality. -We evaluatea the project's activities and outcomes to identify effective practices and lessons. These findings were disseminated to relevant stakeholders, including youth organizations, policymakers, and the wider community, to promote evidence-based approaches and contribute to the field of youth work. The project inspired and equipped young people with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to advocate for women's rights, challenge gender inequality, and contribute to creating more inclusive and equitable societies. By achieving these objectives, we believe that we created a lasting impact on youth participants, empower them to be agents of change, and contribute to positive social transformation.
