The aim of our project was to give young people the opportunity to get involved in European politics at an intellectual and emotional level by dealing with topics relevant to them. We wanted to offer them a strategy to get out of the crisis mode of climate change, Corona, and War. Our strategy of youth empowerment aimed to enable young people to participate meaningfully in shaping their own future. We saw empowerment as a process of awareness and skills building, leading to greater decision-making power and transformative action. This project promoted debates centered on themes and priorities set by EU Youth Dialogue, 2024. This was the topic Inclusive societies, and it aimed to obtain outcomes which were useful for policymaking in Europe. We wanted to realize the promise of Art. 165 EU Treaty on youth participation in terms of their needs and future aspirations. All this could make the youth and our societies more resilient against the then-current crisis of climate, war, and the feeling of exclusion.
