Objectives

The main goals we wanted to achieve with the implementation of the project are: 1. Enrichment the educational and pedagogical approaches of Vocational Education and Training by integrating innovative practices and new methods effectively using the Internet. 2. Provision of new digital technology to vocational school teachers to develop Web Quest lessons in the classroom, as well as for using, with the possibility of updating, already developed Web Quests 3. Enhancing professional knowledge, developing students' competencies and computer skills through inquiry-based problem solving learning, web searching. With the realization of the project we wanted to achieve other goals, not less important and complementary to the main ones: - Developing students' soft skills - teamwork, self-assessment, improving English language skills - Create an inclusive school environment for all students to succeed, especially those with fewer opportunities-with the role-playing methods offered by WebQuest, making students a meaningful and important part of the group conducting the web search. - Linking the objectives of the project to the main and specific priorities of the KA210- Small-scale partnerships in VET, Erasmus+ program.

Background

The main motivation for the development of the project was related to helping VET to enter new, modern types and forms of training with the application of design technologies, using Internet resources. The WebQuest model is a new pedagogical approach in training, for designing and combining theoretical and technological knowledge. Until now, there was no information that an attempt had been made to introduce Web Quest training in vocational schools in our country. This motivated us to spread this interactive training method - a method in which the student himself actively participates in the learning process, performs a certain learning task, following his individual route for constructing knowledge based on his own experience and new information from Internet resources. The WebQuest technology is applicable to any individual problem, for any subject, topic, and can also be applied in interdisciplinary lessons. The introduction of the WebQuest model develops the necessary skills of students for: - Using IT in solving professional learning tasks and problems; - Self-learning and self-organization; - Critical thinking and analysis for creative problem solving and innovative ideas; -Written and oral communication within the task.
