Main objective was to set base for creating a learning model on how to bring out the value of entrepreneurial competences in environmental education. This objective was reached by specific sub-objectives: 1) Development of methodology connecting EntreComp and GreenComp and use it in environmental practice/subjects. 2) Development of a training programme for teachers on how to integrate entrepreneurial learning principles and methods in environmental education. 3) Manage a practical network and platform of environmental teachers and other teachers who are interested in further developing of entrepreneurial competences in environmental education.
The project focused on helping teachers understand the value and role of entrepreneurial competences in environmental education. The need was to promote combining EntreComp and GreenComp as a model, since competences from both are needed to implement environmental actions. Teachers often struggle with how to teach serious environmental issues. Many students feel environmental grief, which can lead to passivity. Using entrepreneurial methods motivates students to act and find practical solutions. Our goal was to help teachers see how entrepreneurial competences drive positive environmental change and apply them in daily practice. The project addressed several needs: -Students participate in ecological activities outside school, but these efforts and skills are rarely recognized in education. -Many young people remain disengaged from environmental issues. -Teachers lack tools to support students coping with emotions related to climate change. -There is little guidance on integrating digital tools, technologies, and AI into environmental education. -Many teachers believe these tools and entrepreneurial competences are irrelevant to their work.
