Creating support structures for empowerment through capacity building for refugee psychologists

Background

The project addressed the needs of Ukrainian women refugees with disabled children. Psychological support and empowerment to improve quality of life were common concerns and goals in both countries, and, as it turned out, in other European countries as well. The topic of LIFECOMP was particularly unknown to the target group and was used as the basis for a workshop. The development and implementation took place with the participation and involvement of Ukrainian refugee women with psychological training. They had little educational experience and modern techniques for workshop design. The topics of empowerment and LIFECOMP also had to be taught. This also applied to the associate partner Institut Kostuka in Kiev.
