The "We are Taking Off in Europe" (WatoiE) project, implemented under the Erasmus+ DiscoverEU Inclusion Action, aims to provide young people with fewer opportunities the chance to engage in international travel, develop essential skills, and enhance their personal and professional growth. One of the key objectives of the project is to facilitate cultural exchange and understanding among young participants. By traveling across Europe, they will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in different cultures, interact with people from diverse backgrounds, and broaden their perspectives. This experience is intended to foster greater tolerance, intercultural competence, and a more inclusive worldview. Another important goal of the project is skill development. Many young people lack opportunities to acquire essential soft skills such as communication, teamwork, adaptability, and leadership. Through this initiative, they will be encouraged to develop these competencies in real-world situations, which will not only enhance their personal growth but also increase their employability and future career prospects. The project also focuses on youth empowerment and active citizenship. Participants will be encouraged to take initiative in planning their journeys, making decisions, and navigating challenges on their own. By stepping out of their comfort zones, they will gain confidence, independence, and a greater sense of responsibility. Upon their return, they will be motivated to share their experiences with their peers and communities, inspiring others to explore similar opportunities and contribute positively to society. Many young people face financial, social, or cultural barriers that limit their chances of participating in international mobility programs.
