Objectives

In South Karelia, regional coordination of youth work has been implemented since 2021, and the municipalities in the region have longstanding traditions of inter-municipal collaboration. One of the goals of regional coordination is to develop the competence and networking of youth workers in the area. Through the international mobility project for youth workers, we aimed to strengthen regional networking in youth work and make workers familiar with each other. The project sought to enhance the expertise of youth workers in South Karelia in international work and bring the knowledge and experiences gained through the study visit directly to their work and, consequently, to the young people in South Karelia. The project aimed to inspire workers to engage in active international work in their localities post-pandemic, including the implementation of potential international projects transcending municipal boundaries, for both workers and young people. We hope that this mobility project will lead to the initiation of new development projects in the region and enable the establishment of new partnerships internationally. A common aspiration among workers was also to better understand Erasmus+ project management and receive support for the implementation of international activities. The objectives were: 1. Revitalizing International Activities 2. Enhancing Competence 3. Promoting Regional Networking 4. Planning and Implementing International Projects 5. Cultural Exchange and Learning 6. Refreshing Workers 7. Inter-municipal Collaboration
