The team and coordinators of this project actively engaged in a variety of events, training sessions, and conferences, where they connected with fellow youth workers, trainers, and organizational leaders. These interactions illuminated the profound challenges faced by young people and those dedicated to fostering positive social change. Amidst discussions surrounding the detrimental impacts of pandemics, conflicts, and climate crises, it became evident that many grassroots activists encountered obstacles in sustaining their efforts. Recognizing this pressing need, a collaborative meeting was convened among project partners. Given their shared commitment to social activism, they resolved to gather insights from youth workers using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Upon analyzing the gathered feedback, it became apparent that youth workers sought tools to bolster their resilience, creativity, and sustained engagement. Moreover, the project aimed to address the prevalent challenges of stress and burnout experienced by individuals dedicated to catalyzing social change. The project responded to these needs by offering practical resources and methodologies to craft transformative narratives that not only inspire change but also prioritize personal well-being. Through a series of workshops, real-world case studies, and hands-on learning experiences, the Resourcing Change project aimed to meet several objectives: 1. Equipping participants with both personal and collective resilience skills to navigate the demands of change-making while prioritizing self-care. 2. Providing storytelling techniques that activate transformational power, engaging broader audiences in the process of change. 3. Exploring both theoretical frameworks and practical strategies for effective social change initiatives. 4. Cultivating a sense of community and collaboration among participants, fostering the exchange of best practices. 5. Supporting youth workers and community activists in maintaining personal well-being amidst their commitment to sustainable change. 6. Offering practical tools and methods for crafting narratives that inspire change and promote well-being. 7. Creating a supportive learning environment that encourages innovation, feedback, and collaboration. 8. Facilitating networking opportunities among participants from diverse backgrounds, fostering cross-cultural and interdisciplinary exchange. The project team firmly believed that by investing in the well-being of change-makers and providing them with essential skills and knowledge, they could significantly contribute to sustainable and impactful social change movements. Through an Erasmus+ training course, the project aimed to bring together a diverse group of 28 participants from seven countries. This platform offered them the opportunity to learn from one another and collectively explore strategies for positive change. The Resourcing Change project sought to empower youth workers with the tools and methodologies necessary to drive sustainable social change while prioritizing their own well-being. By crafting and communicating transformative narratives, participants would be better equipped to effect positive change in their communities while nurturing their own resilience and growth.
