The main objectives are to: Educate the young generation as eco-friendly individuals conscious of the environment. Prepare a school recycling program to be integrated into the school curriculum. Reduce the carbon footprint by 7% via calculating carbon footprints of partner schools. Raise consciousness across Europe regarding global warming, climate change, and reforestation. Develop participants; digital skills and green skills through web tools and project activities.
The project was inspired by the slogan "The goal of life is to make your heartbeat match the beat of the universe"; and the need to re-establish the balance between nature and human beings. The application addresses the urgent need to fight climate change, noting that 90% of climate change is caused by humans. It addresses the need to educate the young generation as eco-friendly individuals and the necessity of raising awareness about recycling, citing that 520 kg of waste produced by one person in a year can be recycled. Additionally, it aims to fulfill the "resource efficient Europe"; objective within the EU 2020 Strategy.
