Objectives

What we wanted to achieve by implementing the project was to develop an effective methodology for corporate Living Library events. A methodology that equally emphasizes organizational development and sensitivity. Whit this, we aimed to reduce discrimination and prejudice by fostering empathy and understanding through the Living Library methodology. We sought to strengthen organizational development in diversity and inclusion, equip HR professionals, managers, educators, and Living Library organizers with practical tools, and create inclusive workplace and learning environments. Ultimately, the project aimed to generate lasting change within organizations and contribute to broader social inclusion and mutual respect.

Background

We applied for this project to address persistent discrimination and social divisions by promoting inclusion and empathy through an innovative approach. By combining the Living Library methodology with organizational development, the project aims to reduce prejudice in workplaces, empower HR professionals and educators, and create lasting systemic change. It aligns with Erasmus+ values of inclusivity, cooperation, and adult education, with strong potential for broad societal impact. The project addressed the need to tackle persistent discrimination, prejudice, and social divisions while supporting organizations in developing inclusive and respectful cultures. It responded to gaps in effective diversity and inclusion strategies, practical training for HR professionals, managers, educators, and Living Library event organizers, and meaningful community engagement. By providing a structured methodology and targeted training, the project met the need for tools that foster empathy, challenge stereotypes, and create lasting organizational and societal change.
