The project's main goal was to boost teachers' skills in four key areas: problem-solving, digital literacy, innovative teaching, and soft skills like leadership. The aim was to improve classroom practices, teacher motivation, and engagement. It directly trained 48 educators through international trips and indirectly reached hundreds more locally. A core objective was to help teachers manage classrooms with empathy and collaboration, moving from reactive to proactive methods. This included training in conflict resolution and emotional literacy. A major focus was also the inclusion of the students, empowering them to be active participants in a more inclusive school culture. The project fostered an intercultural professional community among partner schools in Greece, Turkey, Romania, and Hungary. It also sought to improve teachers' ability to handle emotional and behavioral challenges in the classroom by providing training in emotional intelligence. Beyond academics, the project developed student skills in collaboration and critical thinking. It embedded inclusive and democratic values into school life and created sustainable educational tools. Ultimately, the project aimed to promote a positive image of the European Union.
Educators in challenging environments face professional and emotional strain, worsened by global crises and the rise of digital technology, which has shortened student attention spans. A needs assessment revealed a lack of skills in classroom management, digital tools, and innovative teaching. This project aims to support teacher well-being and empower them with modern teaching methods through collaboration. Specifically, the project addresses the exclusion of students who enter school with limited formal learning exposure and often struggle academically and socially. Teachers lack training in culturally responsive pedagogy and feel helpless managing diverse classrooms. The project seeks to move beyond simple discipline to a culture of understanding and respect, equipping teachers with strategies for fostering cooperation and emotional intelligence. It also aims to promote intercultural competence and a European identity, especially among disadvantaged students. Through strategic partnerships, the project facilitates the exchange of best practices to create inclusive learning activities. Additionally, it addresses post-pandemic needs for emotional reconnection and resilience.Ultimately, the project provides a sustainable solution.
