The main objectives of the project were to ensure that we are providing inclusive and supportive learning environments to our learners within our Adult Education provision which is based on a learner centred learner support service. The second objective was to explore the what inclusive leadership looks like in adult education and how inclusive leadership can lead to inclusive learning environments.
GRETB is a regional Education Authority with responsibility for Primary, Second Level, Further Education and Training, Adult Education for the Galway and Roscommon region. The project focused on our adult education programmes within the Inclusion Unit of our organisation. The unit was newly established at the time of application and we starting to explore how we ensure a more inclusive learning environment for our learners and develop a new learner centred approach to learner supports.
