We sought to adapt vocational education and training to labour market needs by strengthening digital skills among craftsmen and SMEs through innovative and flexible C-VET provision. The AVED project has been able : ● Increase the digital readiness, resilience and competitiveness of craftsmen and SMEs through targeted training on smart/hybrid working, videoconferencing and video/photo tools for e-marketing. ● Develop and pilot a modular digital C-VET pathway based on micro-credentials and digital badges, allowing learners to acquire clearly defined learning outcomes in short, practical units. ● Strengthen capacity of the participating organisations to design, deliver and validate digital learning using micro-credentials. ● Promote inclusion and diversity by ensuring materials were accessible, multilingual, free of charge and suitable for learners with limited digital experience. ● Foster transnational cooperation and exchange of good practices between VET providers and SME support organisations. ● Contribute to green transition objectives by promoting paper-free, digital, sustainable working practices. All objectives were aligned with Erasmus+ priorities on adapting VET to labour market needs, digital transformation and inclusion.
AVED project responded to low digital readiness in craftsmen and SMEs in Ireland, Italy and Spain, particularly in rural areas where access to flexible training is limited. Partners identified barriers inc. lack of time, limited resources and low confidence in digital tools, especially in smart/hybrid working and digital marketing. AVED developed and delivered 28 practical online C-VET micro-credential units (exceeding the 26 originally planned), structured across Smart & Hybrid Working and Videoconferencing & Digital Marketing. Interactive videos were added following piloting and NA feedback to enhance engagement and practical relevance. All units were integrated into an open Moodle platform (https://elearning-aved.eu/) with digital badges and made available in English, Italian and Spanish. All objectives set and KPIs were fully achieved (100%). Two transnational study visits were held engaging a total of 12 VET trainers and 20 SMEs representatives to pilot and refine the units.Dissemination activities reached over 12,880 individuals in three countries . The project strengthened partner capacity in digital micro-credential design and created a sustainable, transferable European training pathway aligned with labour market needs.
