By implementing the MOB4ALL project, the partnership aimed to make Erasmus+ experiences more inclusive for LGBTQIA+ trainees by both encouraging their participation and preparing mobility stakeholders to support them. The project assessed the current situation, identified barriers to inclusion, and developed strategies and an action plan to overcome these challenges for all mobility stakeholders and trainees. By raising awareness and proposing practical solutions, MOB4ALL promotes a more equitable and supportive environment, helping ensure that Erasmus+ opportunities are accessible and welcoming to all, regardless of sexual orientation or gender identity.
The MOB4ALL project was designed to promote inclusion and equal participation of LGBTQIA+ trainees in the Erasmus+ programme, particularly in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector. Recognising ongoing discrimination and a lack of support for LGBTQIA+ individuals, the project aimed to raise awareness and remove barriers to mobility opportunities for those with fewer opportunities.Through a preliminary survey involving key mobility stakeholders, the project found that 83.9% lacked guidelines or support for LGBTQIA+ inclusion, often due to limited awareness or interest. This underscored the need for better preparation and sensitivity within host companies and organisations. MOB4ALL seeks to foster good practices and inclusive environments across Europe by addressing these gaps, enabling LGBTQIA+ trainees aged 18 to 30 to engage in Erasmus+ mobility experiences without fear of discrimination. The MOB4ALL project aimed to meet the above challenges by suggesting how our target groups might develop good practices to create a more inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ trainees to participate in Erasmus+ programming. A first step towards more inclusion.
