The primary goal of our project was to gain a comprehensive understanding of youth work practices in Cyprus. Specifically, we aimed to explore how services are tailored for LGBTQ+ youth, assessing whether there are any specialized programs or support systems available. In addition, we sought to observe and analyze general operational aspects of youth clubs, including their opening hours, staffing models, and funding sources. We also wanted to learn about the demographics of the youth served—such as the age ranges, number of regular attendees—and the types of activities offered. Through visits to various youth clubs and meetings with local youth workers and youth participants, our aim was to gather practical insights into the day-to-day realities of youth work in Cyprus. This experience will inform our understanding of different approaches and best practices, which we can potentially adapt or incorporate into our own youth work initiatives
