Objectives

By implementing the project we wanted to achieve the following objectives: O1 To introduce students and teachers to a basic understanding of AI and data use; O2 To test educational tools based on AI and enable them to be used by teachers and students; O3 To educate students about the ethical issues of AI and raise awareness on the responsible use of AI and risks and threats of uses of AI; O4 To support student learning using AI and design effective classroom environments; O5 to co-create in teams composed of students and teachers AI-based educational resources

Background

The new age use of technology has become inevitable in every pace of life and its use has become essential. Therefore, it is impossible to live in our modern world without acting according to the requirements of technology and shaping our needs accordingly. The rapid progress in technological level and rise in artificial intelligence (AI) has altered the world we live in on a large scale and created many opportunities globally from healthcare facilities to creating human interactions through social media and education, however, it has brought serious risks, such as privacy issues, online security, fraud, misinformation and manipulative techniques. The risks of AI and algorithms have created remarkable concerns about ethics, privacy, security, and livelihoods throughout the EU and the world. Therefore, The European Commission tabled a proposal for an EU regulatory framework. Despite concerns and risks, studies and reports throughout the EU and the world the use of internet technologies and AI systems is inevitable in fields of our lives e.g. health, engineering and education. We wanted to contribute to maximizing the benefits of artificial intelligence sysTems while minimizing the risks for a more inclusive and sustainable world
