By implementing the project, we aimed to increase students’ awareness of environmental issues and equip them with practical skills for ecological stewardship. We wanted to foster inclusion by encouraging respect for diversity and support for disadvantaged pupils. Our goal was also to strengthen the sense of European citizenship through international cultural exchanges, collaborative activities, and teamwork among schools from different countries. Additionally, we sought to promote healthy personal growth and social engagement by connecting learners with the natural world and inspiring their involvement in community-based environmental actions.
We applied for the Erasmus Plus project “Into the Woodland Scope” to address the need for greater environmental awareness, active citizenship, and inclusion among students. Our school and partner institutions recognized the importance of promoting sustainable behavior, ecological education, and support for pupils who are disadvantaged. The project aimed to provide opportunities for intercultural exchange, develop skills in environmental stewardship, and foster healthy personal development by connecting students with woodland environments and teaching the value of nature and diversity.
