This project was designed to enrich traditional educational tools by integrating innovative methodologies and technologies, drawing especially from the fields of cultural institutions and the professional world. An equally important objective was to place students from both schools within a truly European dimension, while creating the conditions for this model to remain sustainable beyond the project’s conclusion. The actual impact on students, families and the wider community exceeded expectations. The project not only fulfilled all planned activities, but also connected with complementary partner initiatives, enabling the development of a broader network, more meaningful learning experiences and a wider dissemination of results. For students, the most significant outcome was the emergence of a renewed understanding of Europe — no longer seen as a distant political structure, but as a community of diverse peoples sharing a common past and a collective future. The strengthened network of schools, institutions and companies represents a lasting achievement, fostering continued collaboration and long-term growth. Finally, the documents collected and digitised in the digital archive constitute a tangible and enduring project output.
The objective of the project was to provide students with a perspective that complements traditional classroom teaching, in particular by offering them: • the opportunity to engage with experiences that are not only national but also international, both from an educational and cultural point of view and, above all, from a social and relational one. Students were encouraged to understand culture not merely as the acquisition of knowledge, but as the expression of lived experiences, values and social practices developed in other countries, often different from the habits and relationships that shape our own daily lives; • the chance to develop technological skills through collaboration with experts, especially those involved through the Mubat association. In a context where innovation is advancing at an increasingly rapid pace — as demonstrated by the recent emergence of AI technologies — students require the guidance of professionals actively engaged in cutting-edge fields; • the integration of formal education with more engaging approaches, such as History Telling initiatives, combining historical research, digital technologies, primary sources and performative tools to enhance students’ attention and active participation.
