Objectives

Through this project, we wanted to foster innovation in the classroom by using STEM lesson plans and practical kits that introduce new, inclusive and engaging approaches to teaching and learning. Our goal was to modernize STEM education in our own and partner schools, support digital and environmental education, and ensure that all students have equal access to high-quality learning opportunities. Overall, the project aimed to strengthen scientific culture, promote active and experiential learning, support digital and ecological transformation, and increase innovation, inclusion, and collaboration within and between participating schools. To equip teachers with the skills to implement experimental, interdisciplinary, and digitally supported STEM activities, improving their teaching methods and professional development. To assess how new STEM lesson plans affect student motivation, engagement, and learning outcomes, as well as teacher effectiveness in STEM education. Educators were tasked with developing an online platform - an E-book integrated with the project website, which would host all STEM lesson plans created and approved during the project.

Background

We applied for this project because we recognized a strong need to modernize teaching and learning practices in our schools through innovative, inclusive and motivating STEM education. Traditional teaching models are not enough to prepare students for a rapidly changing world marked by digital transformation, sustainability challenges and increasing demand for STEM skills. This project provides an opportunity to introduce practical STEM learning scenarios, strengthen teacher training and create an environment that fosters curiosity, creativity and problem-solving skills, while promoting inclusion, diversity and equal access to learning. By collaborating with partner schools, we can share experiences, test new methodologies and create impactful tools that benefit the entire educational community. The need for innovation in teaching methods. Teachers need new pedagogical tools and approaches that go beyond traditional teaching and engage students through experiments, interdisciplinary work and real-world problem solving. STEM activities provide students with the competencies needed to understand sustainability challenges and make informed decisions. The school becomes open to international collaboration.
