Objectives

By implementing the project, we wanted to create a safe, respectful, and inclusive school environment where every student feels valued. Our main goal was to raise awareness about peer bullying and its harmful effects on mental health, relationships, and academic success. We aimed to help students recognize different forms of bullying—verbal, physical, social, and online—and understand the importance of empathy and kindness. Through this project, we wanted to empower students to speak up, support one another, and take a stand against bullying. We also focused on turning bystanders into active defenders and promoting the idea that everyone has a role in building a positive school culture. Additionally, by working with international partners, we aimed to exchange ideas, understand cultural differences, and find common values that unite us against bullying. Ultimately, we hoped to build stronger friendships, improve communication among peers, and spread the message that schools should be places of support—not fear.

Background

We applied because we believe that every student deserves to feel safe, accepted, and valued at school. Peer bullying has been a serious problem that affected our students’ emotional well-being, academic performance, and self-esteem. We wanted to create this project that addresses this issue through awareness, education, and positive action. The needs we addressed included the lack of awareness about the types and impact of bullying, the need to promote empathy and respect among students, and the importance of encouraging bystanders to speak up. We also focused on building peer support systems and fostering an inclusive school culture where differences are respected. By participating, we hoped to help create a school environment where kindness replaces cruelty and students become allies instead of enemies. Working with international peers gave us new perspectives and strategies, making our anti-bullying efforts even stronger.
