The project aimed to improve digital competencies of teaching staff involved in vocational rehabilitation, enhance communication with learners with disabilities through clear guidelines, and contribute to innovation and quality assurance in vocational education and training (VET). The primary target group was educators and vocational training institutions, while secondary beneficiaries included professionals from other fields. A transnational partnership enabled knowledge exchange and strengthened capacity to implement inclusive and modern educational approaches.
The project addressed several key challenges in vocational rehabilitation: limited availability of structured vocational rehabilitation services, lack of understanding of its stages and organization, insufficient knowledge on how to communicate with people with disabilities, and a shortage of modern digital tools and practices in education. There was also a noticeable gap in innovative methods in vocational education and the need for digital skills development among educators. These problems were particularly relevant across all partner countries - Latvia, the Netherlands, and Türkiye - highlighting the need for a transnational approach and shared learning.
