Objectives

The project aimed to reach the following objectives: - To create and maintain mentoring relationships through communication with students and keeping a journal of the activities performed; - To transfer the experience of the learning process, encouraging motivation and self-confidence among younger students and detecting and monitoring their specific interests; - To provide help and guidance in school socialization, developing socio-emotional skills and a sense of and preventing possible conflict situations; - To promote European values and basic human rights.

Background

The idea to apply for this project appeared when the teachers noticed the growing need for creating responsible, motivated, and socially engaged young people who are prepared to face the challenges of modern society. The community will also benefit from young people with developed positive habits, a strong sense of responsibility, cooperation, empathy and resilience. The schools will start teaching students how to enhance their potential for professional and personal success, equipping them with socio-emotional skills, decision-making abilities, creativity, and problem-solving competencies. In this way, the schools will become modern institutions with strong ethical values and socially responsible practices, attractive to new generations of students. The students need to become aware and motivated and be more involved in the school and community life. The teachers will also need to move beyond traditional roles, implementing interactive methods and sharing practical knowledge through innovative workshops.
