We saw another surge in migration brought by new realties including the war in Ukraine that also brought a new migration route in Europe and new countries like Estonia and Poland that have not faced migration and refugees before having started to face migrants at their borders. Many countries opened their borders and let them come and settle in their country, but there was a still question of how integrate the refugees in the daily lives of their new settlement. The main goal that we wanted to achieve by implementing this project, was to equip the youth workers with knowledge and tools to help facilitate the integration process of newly arrived migrants. The main objectives of this project were, to help participants better understand and be aware of the current challenges that we are facing in relation to migration; To make participants understand what are the push factors that make people leave their country and what they face during their journey; Make participants aware of the problems migrants face in the inclusion process when they arrive in their new country; to help participants find ways how to encourage intercultural dialogue between migrant youth and local youth so as to build a mutual understanding; to break down stereotypes that one might have on other cultures; to improve youth organizations’ capacity to work for/with migrants; to equip youth workers with effective tools and methods for trainings and activities to learn how to tackle migration with native youngsters.
