The project aimed to build stronger links between NGOs, schools, businesses, and community organisations. We wanted to create a culture of collaboration where information, opportunities, and ideas could be shared more easily. Our goal was to improve our network and help organisations move from working in isolation to creating new partnerships that benefit their communities. By improving communication and cooperation, we wanted to make it easier for different actors to join forces on social initiatives, volunteering actions, and youth projects. Through this international partnership, we also aimed to exchange practical methods on community engagement and learn from each other’s experiences. In the long term, the project sought to create a connected network that continues to generate new collaborations well beyond its completion.
The project was developed to tackle the lack of a central platform in Malta where young people, NGOs, schools, and businesses could connect and collaborate on common initiatives. Opportunities were scattered across different channels, making it difficult for individuals to find placements and for smaller organisations to reach volunteers or partners. Many NGOs also lacked the time, resources, or digital tools to promote their work effectively. At the same time, young people needed clearer guidance on where and how to participate. The project aimed not only to make volunteering more accessible but also to build a stronger, more connected network of organisations working together across sectors. By improving cooperation and sharing good practices, it sought to create lasting structures for collaboration and more active youth participation.
