Our organizing team, both from Netherlands and Azerbaijan, our primary goal in implementing the project was to address the ongoing issue of youth unemployment and underemployment, particularly among NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young people in, Azerbaijan and beyond. We aimed to tackle this issue by equipping youth workers from 8 countries with the new skills, knowledge, and attitudes to effectively support young people in their personal and professional development back in their local communities, ultimately enhancing their employability prospects. We set the following objectives for this training course: 1. Improve the competences of 34 youth workers in facilitating the personal and professional development of the young people they work with. 2. Support the professional development of youth workers by providing them with training resources to better assist young people in their journey towards employability. 3. Provide a platform for the sharing of experiences and best practices in the field of lifelong learning and employability skills development. 4. Empower participants to act as multipliers by utilizing the Employability Hub Model, thereby disseminating the knowledge and experience gained during the project to relevant stakeholders. 5. Explore opportunities for future cooperation among participants and partner organizations involved in the project. Additionally, a key focus of the project was to introduce and promote the Employability Hub Model, a structure designed to enhance the employability skills of young people through non-formal education and various personal and professional development opportunities. By establishing these hubs, we aimed to create collaborative spaces where stakeholders could work together to support the holistic development of young people and foster future cooperation. We can proudly report that with the common effort of each participant and the organizing team, we achieved the set objectives to the extent where we can honestly believe that this training will bring positive impact for the young people we aimed to support.
