With non-formal learning methods, the participants had a unique learning experience, which among other things led to increased knowledge and understanding of Europe, democracy, intercultural understanding and volunteerism. We want to help young people become active citizens and participate actively in political discussions in society. In this way, we believe EYP helps lay the foundation for a better, interactive democracy in Europe with a broader understanding of the EU and how it functions. The conference also wanted to contribute to a dialogue between participants to explore and strengthen cultural identities which was implemented through our cultural programme where participants were invited to creating stands based on where they came from and allowed them to mingle and learn from each other. The entire project is organised by young volunteers, who contribute with the planning, implementation and evaluation of the conference.
